Richmond Hill store owner to pay $840G in wages

The owner of four Richmond Hill food stores agreed Monday to pay 42 employees a total of $840,000 in back wages and overtime pay, ending a 2008 lawsuit filed by the U.S. Labor Department that charged her with unfairly compensating the workers. Comment.

Glendale teen collects supplies for soldiers

Glendale student Eric Kramer, 16, is asking for donations of travel-size toiletries, as well as food and entertainment, to send to U.S. troops in Afghanistan. Eric will be collecting the items from now until September in two Woodhaven and three Glendale locations. Comment.
