ASTORIA Police arrested two people allegedly operating an illegal bar Saturday night at 40-17 30th Ave., the location of Paparazzi Cafe, a Mexican restaurant. A 31-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were charged with operating an unlicensed bottle club, unlicensed warehouse liquor storage, sale of alcohol after hours, criminal nuisance and sale of alcohol without a liquor license. BAYSIDE A motorist got a nasty surprise Saturday when it was discovered an unknown person had stolen a gray 2000 Honda Civic sedan from Bell Boulevard near 32nd Avenue. The car was taken sometime between 10 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday, police said. Officers in the 112th Precinct recovered the stolen car on Sunday, police said. Comment.

FLUSHING A Bronx man was arrested April 12 at Shea Stadium after allegedly stealing a Mets jacket from a Newsday booth, authorities said. Nelson Ondre, 43, walked up to the booth and picked up one of the jackets, which were being given away with a new subscription to Newsday, and walked away with it, a criminal complaint filed by the Queens district attorney's office said. 2 hurt in Woodside kitchen fire

WOODSIDE Two tenants suffered minor injuries in a kitchen fire April 23, FDNY officials said. The blaze was reported at 8:36 a.m. in a second-floor kitchen in a six-story brick apartment building on 49th Street near 48th Avenue. The blaze was under control by 8:59 a.m. The tenants were transported to Elmhurst Hospital Center, one with serious injuries and one with minor injuries. No firefighters were hurt, officials said.
