BAYSIDE — A woman was assaulted while driving Saturday when three unknown men approached her car and broke her car windows with a hammer, according to police. Comment.

Credit card stolen at Bally Fitness: Police

LITTLE NECK — A wallet containing credit cards was stolen from a Little Neck gym Sunday and used to make unauthorized purchases, police said. The wallet was left in a gym locker at Bally Total Fitness, located at 245-24 Horace Harding Expressway, where the theft occurred some time between noon and 2 p.m. Sunday, according to police. Purchases were made with the stolen cards, police said. Comment.

Cash, jewelry, purse nabbed in burglary

BAYSIDE — Jewelry and other valuables were taken from a Bayside home that was burglarized Sunday, police said. The unknown suspect forcibly opened a rear door and entered the home on the 53rd Avenue block of 201st Street some time between 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday, police said. Cash, jewelry and a handbag were stolen from the home, police said. Comment.

Residents escape injury in Woodhaven fire

WOODHAVEN — Firefighters responded to a blaze in the basement of a Woodhaven home Tuesday. Emergency personnel were on the scene around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday and were working to extinguish the blaze at the Woodhaven home located at 85-12 96th St. No one was seriously injured in the fire, according to emergency personnel at the scene.
