NE Queens needs downtown express

As you and others might be aware, I have been fighting to get downtown service on the QM20 express bus and I am upset about the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s fare hike plan, which hurts express bus riders more than subway riders. Comment.

Bridges from Queens to Manhattan restricted to HOV vehicles: Mayor

Drivers hoping to reach Manhattan via the Ed Koch Queensborough or Robert F. Kennedy Triborough bridges will need at least three people in the vehicle beginning at 6 a.m. tomorrow morning, according to the city Department of Transportation. Comments (2).

Limited LIRR service to resume today, subways tomorrow

As thousands of homes sat powerless in the borough, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday that limited service would return to the Long Island Railroad at 2 p.m., and limited subway service would be restored Thursday, though it was unclear if lines in Queens would be revived. Comment.
