Three Little Neck women scratch way to $1M win

Almost everyone dreams of what they would do if they won the lottery, but what 24-year-old Danielle Backerman of Little Neck did when she, her sister and a friend won $1 million tax free last week was get sick.

Backerman, whose 19-year-old sister Meredith scratched off the winning ticket last Wednesday, blamed a sore throat during a phone interview Tuesday on the excitement of the past week.
