Police from the 104th Precinct were looking for help in finding the murderer of a 29-year-old man from Ridgewood who was stabbed to death late Saturday or early Sunday morning at the corner of Gates and Seneca avenues.

Manuel Fajardo was stabbed in his right side and found in the street by his wife after he had attended a birthday party Saturday night, said Chief Patrick Timlin, commanding officer of Queens detectives.

He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and died later that morning. The weapon, which Timlin described only as knife, was not recovered.

Fajardo died of multiple stab wounds in the torso and blows from a blunt object to the head, said Ellen Borakove, a spokeswoman for the city medical examiner.
