Terriers

By Anthony Bosco

If it had been a prize fight, the Catholic High School Athletic Association league match-up between the Christ the King Royals and the St. Francis Prep Terriers Friday night would have been a 12-round thriller, with the favorite eking out a split decision.

The favorite in this case was Christ the King, which held off a pesky St. Francis team, 60-53. Prep employed its motion offense, but failed to capitalize against a sluggish Royals team that appeared determined to keep the game close, even when it seemed they could have scored the knockout at any time.
