Police Blotter: Flushing shop owner kills robbery suspect

FLUSHING – A woman shot and killed one of three robbers who had just stolen $20,000 from her Flushing cellular phone and beeper store Tuesday evening, police said.

Jose Colon, of 36-25 167th St. in Flushing, was shot once in the head and later died at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens, said Officer Theresa Farello, a Police Department spokesman.
