Mid Queens holds off Forest Hills for title

The situation could not have been worse for manager Bob Capen.

Capen had guided his team to within one out of winning the District 26 championship, as his Mid Queens-Fresh Meadows 11- and 12-year old all-stars led Forest Hills 1-0 in the top of the sixth inning Monday at Sy Spiler field in Cunningham Park.

With one out, Michael Cavataio drew a walk off of Mid Queens starter Jeff Grazon, who had allowed just one hit to that point. A fielder
