Rochdale loses deliveries after dogs attack mailmen

By Bryan Schwartzman

Every time mailman James Grosso looks at the scar and tooth mark on his arm he is reminded of the incident on Nov. 13 when he was attacked by two dogs while inserting mail into a box on 119th Street in Rochdale.

The attack triggered a series of events that have resulted in the suspension of mail delivery for the last two months for about 35 homes on 119th Avenue between Marsden Drive and Ring Place. Since then residents have grudgingly trekked to the Rochdale Village Postal Station to pick up their mail.
