Elephants, tigers, clowns are on the way

If your child has ever fantasized about running away and joining the circus, he or she might get a kick out of seeing people and elephants raise the Big Top in Forest Park, off Woodhaven Boulevard at Myrtle Avenue, from 7 a.m. to noon Friday.

The family can also get to meet the cast and crew of the Clyde Beatty-Cole Bros. Circus, which begins its Queens engagement at 5 p.m. Friday, with another show at 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m., 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Admission to the tent-raising is free.
