Metropolis suspect posts bail

A 19-year-old man arrested in the stabbings of five club-goers at the Metropolis Nightclub in College Point Aug. 4 and one of the victims are both believed to have ties to organized crime families, law enforcement officials said.

Soon after the stabbings, police arrested Nick Gambino, of Brooklyn, and charged him with five counts of attempted second-degree murder, three counts of first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree assault. Officials believe that Gambino is the nephew of two soldiers of the Gambino crime family but is not directly related to the leaders of that family.
