Metropolis closed down for year after stabbings

Police convinced a Queens State Supreme Court judge last week to shut down the Metropolis Nightclub, a College Point hot spot located just east of the Whitestone Expressway for at least a year, following a history of violent incidents including murders, stabbings and shootings since the club opened in 1995.
