Angela Battista, 93

Angela Battista, mother of Times/Ledger columnist Sabina Cardali, died Aug. 11. She was 93.

Born in Italy, she immigrated to New York City, where she lived in Ozone Park, Corona and College Point. She was the widow of Leonard Battista.

She leaves her son-in-law Rocco Cardali, granddaughter Angela McIntyre, son-in-law Paul McIntyre and great grandsons Eric and Brian McIntyre. She was the sister of Josephine Bonanno, Lina Basile, Frances Erato, Grace Erato and Joseph Basile.
