Hyde Park Fine Art of Mouldings, a Long Island City-based manufacturer of custom and standard plaster architectural ornamentation, has outgrown its plant at 29-16 40th Ave. and plans to build a new 40,000-square-foot facility next door.

Both Alrue Import Corp. and Renco Manufacturing, Manhattan jewelry manufacturers and distributors, will move to a 60,000-square-foot property at 10-41 45th Ave., Giuliani said last week.

In northeast Queens P.S. Pibbs, a manufacturer of furniture and equipment for beauty parlors and barber shops, will buy and renovate a 41,000-square-foot building in Flushing and a new plot of land rather than moving out of the city.

The city Industrial Development Agency is providing assistance to six small manufacturing businesses, including the three in Long Island City and one in Flushing, in a campaign to retain and create 308 jobs in New York City. The two other companies have plans to expand in the Bronx and Brooklyn.
