The United Presbyterian and Reformed Adult Ministries, Flushing House Senior Retirement Residence, and United Lifeline Personal Emergency Response Service invite all to their Millennium Year 2000 Gala on Thursday, Nov. 9, at Terrace on the Park, in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Hors d'oeuvres will be served at 6:30 p.m., dinner at 7:30. Special guests are Matilda Cuomo and Carol Gresser.

The St. Robert Bellarmine Home School Association will present the American Girls Pastimes Party, on Saturday, Nov. 11, and Sunday, Nov. 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is billed as a fun-filled fund raiser event inspired by the stories of the American Girls Collection.

The event will be held at the St. Robert Bellarmine School Hall at 56-20 213th Street. Tickets are $18 per person. Do not send cash through mail. Yeats Tavern at 42-24 Bell Boulevard holds a benefit for Una and Aoifa Rogers, whose Irish immigrant parents and 4-year-old brother were killed in a house fire in April. The benefit will be on Sunday, Nov. 12, from 3 to 8 p.m.

The 10- and 6-year-old have since moved to Ireland to live with their grandmother. Money raised will be used to give them a safe and secure future. For more information call Joe McManus at 225-0652.

Young Israel of New Hyde Park holds its 46th anniversary Journal Dinner on Saturday evening, Dec. 2, at the Plainview Jewish Center. Their Community Service Award will be given to state Sen. Frank Padavan (R-Bellerose). Guests of honor will be Sidney and Judy Fine.

The Foundation for Supporters of the Disabled holds a holiday party Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Caffe on the Green.

A cocktail and buffet supper reception will last from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., with music provided by the Hank Lane Orchestra. A limited number of VIP raffle tickets will be sold for $100 each. First Prize in the drawing wins $10,000 cash. Second prize is a weekend in As Vegas for two at the Mirage hotel, air fare included.
