Bousbaci’s runner lifts Newcomers over RFK, 46-44

With the game tied at 41, Newcomers Laura Burlacu nailed a three-pointer to put the Lions ahead, but then RFK answered with a trifecta of their own before Bousbaci ended the drama. She ended with 14 points and Burlacu scored 18 to lead Newcomers (3-5, 1-3 Queens B-II).

Newtown 48, Bryant 45. Monica Pahl had 23 points and Lasheena Brown added 14 for Newtown (4-6).

Hillcrest 47, RFK 26. Inez Quetant led the way with 26 points for the Hawks (7-5).

Van Buren 63, Springfield Gardens 47. Cheriesse Soto led the VeeBees (5-5) with 27 points and Geneva Kelly added 21.

Robert F. Wagner 44, Flushing 29. Dorcas Carlo had 15 points for Wagner (2-8, 1-4 Queens B-III).

Cardozo 55, Walt Whitman 39. Shavonne Roundtree led the way for the Judges with 28 points and Leah Lipschitz added 13 points and seven boards. Cardozo improved to 6-2.

Canarsie 69, Grover Cleveland 29. Inga Stevens and Lisa Pietra scored 16 points apiece to lead the Chiefs.

Forest Hills 27, Edison 33. Katherine Shea had 15 points and Jena Romano added 11 rebounds to lead Forest Hills (10-2, 3-1 Queens B-II).

Bowne 50, Renaissance 25. Tanisah Dixon had 10 points and Taysia Stroud added 10 rebounds for Bowne (11-1, 3-1 Queens B-II).

Lane 51, Far Rockaway 25. Latoya Boyce had 15 points and Taniqua Banks chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds for Lane (6-4, 2-2 Queens B-I).

Bayside 53, Van Buren 46. Gayle Silverman (17 points) and Allie Falco (15 points) led the Commodores (8-3, 5-0 Queens B-III).

Bowne 72, Wagner 55. Angela Fragoso scored 32 points and Nashaun Burrel added 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats.

Francis Lewis 75, Hillcrest 37. Alaina Davis had 10 points and 11 boards for the Patriots (7-0, 4-0 Queens A-I).

Townsend Harris 49, Jamaica 44. Shenay Freeman scored 13 points and Jessica Sharoff had 10 for Townsend Harris (8-0, 4-0 Queens A).

Springfield Gardens 40, Flushing 33. Shawntiasha Smith led the Golden Eagles with 15 points and Sharrifah Alhassan added 11 points. Springfield Gardens improves to 5-5.

John Adams 51, Campus Magnet 43. Led by Jennifer Perrazzo (13 points, 10 assists) and Amanda Sanders (10 points, 13 rebounds), the Spartans (8-0, 4-0 Queens B-II) erased a five-point halftime deficit with an 18-1 third quarter run.

August Martin 49, Cardozo 48. Monique Jenkins 12th point of the game from the free throw line with eight seconds left in regulation gave the Angels the win. Eboni Williams led Martin (5-1, 4-1 Queens A) with 20 points and 10 boards, while Shavonne Roundtree had 13 points for the Judges.
