In a total team effort the DG Tornados defeated Graziano Ravioli and Deli by a score of 13-6. The Tornados got off to a quick start scoring five runs in the first inning thanks to consecutive doubles by Eric Breidbart, Rory Silver, Chris Cacioppo and Brian Finnerty, followed by an RBI single by Anthony Bonjac.

The Tornadoes entered the bottom of the third inning with a 6-2 lead when Graziano Ravioli and Deli began a rally. After scoring two runs and with runners on the corners Eric Breidbart made a rally-ending catch of a long fly ball to right center field to end the inning.

The Tornados added two runs in the top of the 4th scored by Justin Diaz after he beat out an infield single and another scored by Brian Finnerty on an RBI double by Chris Cacioppo.

The Tornados finally broke the game open in the top of the 5th inning when, with two outs and the bases loaded, Eric Breidbart hit a bases-clearing double to left field.

Runs were scored by Kevin Conklin, Mike Colasuomo and Nick Neoclesus. Graziano Ravioli and Deli added two more runs in the bottom of the 5th but the Tornados got out of the inning on excellent defensive plays by Chris Cacioppo and Nick Neoclesus.

The icing on the cake was a tw-run grounder by Craig Silver. Brian Finnerty finished out an excellent pitching performance with a scoreless 6th inning helped by strong defensive plays by himself and by Kevin Conklin at third base.

Sparked by the clutch pitching of Chris Cacioppo and Brian Finnerty, and the long ball hitting of Rory Silver, Lucas Simonovski, Chris Cacioppo, and Nick Neacleous, the DG Tornados beat CJ’s Woodworking 11-3.

Also helping the cause was the clutch hitting of Craig Silver, Brian Finnerty, Anthony Bonjac, and Justin Diaz. Eric Briedbart and Mike Colasuomo also contributed with their strong team play. Rory, Nick, Craig, and Chris supplied the defensive plays that led their team to the win. This was the second straight fine all around game played by the Tornados.

Behind the combined pitching of Pat Berndt, Nick Katakalides and Will Neubauer, Eurotech Auto beat CJ's Woodworking 5-1. A first inning home run by Nick Katakalides, after hits by Brian Kelley and Pat Berndt, proved to be the difference in the game as both sides received excellent pitching.

Niko Stefenapoulas and Lauren DiSanti held Eurotech in check and CJ's threatened to take the lead on several occasions but strong defense from Eurotech, especially a defensive gem in left field by Steven Foley with the basis loaded, led Eurotech to a hard earned win.

Eurotech Auto defeated Cristom Construction 12-7. Opening inning hits by Will Neubauer, Brian Kelley and Nick Katakalides staked Eurotech to an early 4-1 lead. Cristom fought back on RBIs by Mike Kern, Mike Lowery, Nicole Meyer and Chris Franceschini to close the gap. A two-run home run by Pat Berndt, a triple by Kenny Lehr, and solid hits by Steven Stahura and Steven Foley added to Eurotech’s lead in the third and fourth as they held on for the win in a well played game by both teams. Special mention goes to Chris Coppolino who pitched well for Cristom and to Dennis Brennan who had a fine game behind the plate for Eurotech.
