JAMAICA — A robbery attempt at a restaurant in Jamaica early evening Friday ended with one patron shot, one gunman stabbed and all three suspects under arrest, police said.

Police responded to a call of a robbery in progress at the Crystal Curry House Restaurant, 188-09 Jamaica Ave., said Sgt. Brian Burke, a police spokesman.

Three men armed with handguns began robbing the cash register and diners when one patron, a 43-year-old man, resisted and was shot in the neck. He was taken to Mary Immaculate Hospital in stable condition, Burke said.

Restaurant patrons held down one of the alleged robbers, who was stabbed in the process, Burke said. The other two suspects, Johnny Smith and Hose Perez, both 16, fled the scene but were arrested along with injured Matthew Scoot, 17, Burke said.

All three were charged with robbery in the first degree, Burke said.
