HAMMEL —— A 20-year-old man was left in critical condition after he was shot in the lower back by an unidentified person Friday, police said.
The victim was shot at 84-10 Rockaway Beach Blvd. in Hammel and transported to Jamaica Hospital, said Detective Madelyne Galindo, a police spokeswoman.
Police were investigating.
