FLUSHING — A man in his 20s was shot several times outside an apartment building on Sanford Avenue early Tuesday morning, the police said.
The man, who the police did not identify, was shot “numerous times about the body” in front of the apartment at 132-40 Sanford Ave. around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, said Jerry Varson, a police spokesman.
The victim was taken to New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens, where he was in serious but stable condition, the police said. No arrests had been made as of Wednesday morning, the police said.
