AUBURNDALE — A manhole exploded causing a power outage on a commercial segment of Northern Boulevard on Monday, police said.
The manhole exploded at 40-41 166th St. exploded at about 4:20 p.m., causing an outage from 163th to 165th Streets on the south side of Northern Boulevard, said Carmen Melendez, a police spokeswoman.
There were no immediate reports on the cause of the explosion.
