Queen of Peace Pee Wee ‘A’ team win 20th game of the season.

With a 17-5 victory over St. Kevins on Saturday and a 17-2 win the following day over American Martyrs while only suffering two losses, Queen of Peace ended its QJBA season with a 10-2 record while winning the Eastern division in the minors. The Wildcats remained unbeaten in CYO with a 10-0 record.

In Saturdays game, the Wildcats were led by the pitching of Nicholas Melidosian (3 inn 6 K’s). Ramirez followed up by allowing only two runs and two hits led by David Leavy (3 hits, 3 runs scored) and two hits each by Juan Moya, Anthony Lowell, Jamal Vargas, Joey and Steven Solimando.

In Sunday’s game, five different pitchers (Doug Hurtares, Jamal Vargas, Joey Solimando, Nicky Melidosian and Anthony Lowell) combined for a one-hit victory the only hit they gave up came in the last inning. The hitting was led by Doug Hurtares three hits.

This team is now gearing up for the playoffs in both leagues looking to capture a championship to cap off a wonderful season for these 10 years old boys.
