Yankees top D-Rays in DAC Pony League action

Estates Animal Hospital Yankees 14, Exxon @ Baybridge D-Rays 5. The Yankees rolled over the D-Rays 14-5 behind the pitching of Matt Lardtunda and the hitting of Joseph Brent, Joe Mariani, Brian O’Connell and Max Eisencraft. The D-Rays got a fine effort from Rick Honya on the mound and the hits from Peter Kim, John Mirabella, Zane Zdatny and Jack Eichenger.

OLBS Dodgers 8, Neil Vallins DDS Cardinals 7. The Dodgers nipped the Cardinals behind the fine pitching of Nick Alcide and a monster three-run home run by Chris Ashworth that landed on the exit ramp of the Throgs Neck Bridge. Chris Benini, Tony Diluvio and Tom Andres also supplied offense. The Cardinals got big hits from Adam Mustafa, Julien Fontaine and Chris Lynch and had solid glove work by David Vallins and Sean Redican.

DePhillips Sports Mets 8, Reif Park Rangers 7. The Mets edged the Rangers 8-7 as Jon Blader and Chris Muniz provided the pitching and Andrew and Chris Pagnozzi, Tom Hubany and Frank Lorrigio supplied the offense. Ian Leisenheimer, Mike Cavataio and Irving DellaConcha were solid on the hill for the Rangers while Nick Morgenstern, Travis Swiatocha and Matt Bulger hit the ball well.

DePhillips Sports Mets 18, OLBS Dodgers 6. Chris Muniz went the distance and Andrew Pagnozzi, Jon Blader and Jay Minella provided the offensive punch as the Mets rolled over the Dodgers, 18-6. Anthony Ronzino, Chris Guzman and Jack Zolla also played well defensive for the Mets. The Dodgers got a good pitching effort by Vinny Pino and hits from Nicky Dechiogrosso, Chris Ashworth, Chris Califano and Dave Giancola.

Estates Animal Hospital Yankees 12, DePhillips Sports Mets 0. The Yankees ended the Mets playoff run behind a three-hit shutout by Matt Lardtunda. Max Eisencraft, Eric Fox, Joseph Brent, Mike Tomashoff and Brian O’Connell had big games at the plate and anchored an outstanding defense. The Mets got two hits from Chris Pagnozzi and fine fielding by Chris Guzman, Jack Zolla and Anthony Ronzino.
