The DAC 13- and 14-year-old team had to come from behind to defeat a tough Whitestone Renegades squad, 8-7, in the playoff opener.
Ricky Honya pitched five solid innings and Matt Larotunda was strong in relief. Thomas Hubany had two hits and Joe Brent, Joey Mariani Adam, Mustafa and Brian O’Connell also got key hits when it counted.
Ryan Eisner, Andrew Pagnozzi, Chris Pagnozzi, David Vallins, Adam Greenfield, Chris Dididonez, Julien Fontaine and Jason Minella held down the defense and made some great fielding plays in what was a very exciting game.
