Auditions/Rehearsals

Oratorio Society Of Queens, under the artistic direction of David Close, invites singers to join the group for weekly rehearsals in the North Presbyterian Church, 154th Street and 26th Avenue, Flushing. No choral experience is necessary. Prospective members must be able to carry a tune and undergo a simple listening audition. Classes

National Art League, 44-21 Douglaston Parkway, Douglaston adds an evening Portrait class to weekly schedule. Dan Slapo, well known representational artist with 3S years as an instructor has brought his drawing & painting class to the NAL. The class will be held every Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Dan Slapo has received many awards for his pastel paintings from major competitions, and his work has been published in a number of prestigious publications. Municipal Concerts, Inc. in cooperation with Hillcrest Jewish Center will present the Julius Grossman Chamber Orchestra on Sunday, Nov., 4 at 2 p.m. in Hillcrest Jewish Center located on Union Turnpike and 183rd St., Fresh Meadows.
