Boro teens charged in L.I. attack

Seven teenage gang members from Queens Village were arrested this week after allegedly leading a violent assault on a Long Island teen Monday afternoon in Elmont, Nassau County police said.

The Queens Village teens were part of a group of 11 youths who participated in the attack, the authorities said. Nassau police said the gang assembled in Queens before traveling across the Queens-Nassau border to carry out their plans.

The victim, an Elmont teen who was not identified, suffered collapsed lungs after being stabbed three times in the upper body, according to a news release provided by the Nassau County Police Department.

The victim was taken to Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola for treatment, police said.

Jeffrey Pierre-Philippe, 17, of 209-54 111th Rd. in Queens Village and a 14-year-old from Long Island have been accused of stabbing the victim, police said, in a store parking lot at the intersection of Village Avenue and Elmont Road. The attack occurred at 3:12 p.m. Monday, police said.

Pierre-Philippe was charged with one count of gang assault and one count of assault, police said.

Six other Queens Village teenagers were also arrested in the attack and each was charged with gang assault, Nassau police said.

The Queens teens were scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead Tuesday, Nassau police said.

Those arrested include: Alfonso Perez, 16, of 219-23 Murdock Ave.; Raysean Stewart, 17, of 213-40 112th Ave.; Christopher Theodore, 16, of 209-47 112th Rd.; Charles Carter, 16, of 209-50 112th Ave.; Kevin Ross, 16, of 209-50 112th Ave.; and Daryl Hicks, 16, of 112-25 Francis Lewis Blvd.

Four other youths were also arrested in the incident, Nassau police said, including Frank Stephens, 16, of 508 Williams Ave. in Brooklyn. Nassau police also arrested three other teens: a 14-year-old from North Valley Stream and a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old whose names were not released.
