Dan Slapo, well known representational artist with 3S years as an instructor has brought his drawing & painting class to the NAL. The class will be held every Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Dan Slapo has received many awards for his pastel paintings from major competitions, and his work has been published in a number of prestigious publications. Adventure on a Shoestring has scheduled a snacks and sights safari of Astoria, the world’s largest Greek City outside Greece. The tour will be lead by Howard Goldberg, Shoestring’s president and founder who will discuss Greek food customs and traditions and relate the area’s fascinating history and exciting present.
