Outback Steakhouse Mets 4, Prudential L.I. Realty Bluejays 1. The Mets pulled out a win against a tough Bluejays team with sparkling defensive plays on both sides.

For the Mets, the outstanding playoffs of Joshua Choe at pitcher, Anthony Bradice at first base, Anthony Samela at second and Joseph Brennan at third helped curb the Bluejays’ bats. The offensive stars for the Mets included key hitters in a third inning, two-out, three-run rally started by Jun Yoo and followed by Darren Minsky, Joseph Brennan, who drove in Jun for their first run, and James Cazzola, who capped off the inning with Anthony Bradica, who had a 3-for-3 day at the plate, would add the final insurance run, driving in Joseph Brennan, as the Mets’ playoff victory advances them to the championship game.

The Bluejays defensive highlights included the vacuum-like gloves of Tyler Ruiz at first, Nick Sinisko at second, Ethan Geffen at third and Evan Zimmern at pitcher. The big bats for the Bluejays were swung by Tyler Ruiz, Ethan Geffen and Jason Weider, with the key hits coming in the fourth inning by Aaron Geffen, who scored on Nick Sinisko’s clutch shot.

The underdog Fitness Consultant Devil Rays rose to the occasion to beat a powerful Angel team, 11-6, in the first round of DAC Major League playoffs.

It was a true team effort, as Derek Cafasso slammed a three-run home run and pitched three superb innings, Renny Blano tossed three solid innings and smacked a base hit and Danny D’Emidio’s daring base running brought home the go-ahead run. Joe Cornetta also knocked in a pair with a bases-loaded single, Stephanos Tsipas caught a solid game and cracked a big double and John Mariano singled and made an excellent play at third.

Michael Manatrizio stole home and made two fine plays at second base, Tommy Chimarios singled and worked out a key walk, Alberto Perez knocked in an important insurance run. Ian Salisbury played a strong shortstop and Billy Malo was robbed when he ripped a hard liner, as the Devil Rays advanced to the second round.
