With starting central defender Michael Nicolosi out with an ankle injury, Pavlakos moved from center midfield to anchor the Terriers defense in a hard-fought 1-1 tie with archrival Holy Cross Tuesday afternoon. After giving an emotional pregame speech, the Whitestone native then led by example, scoring the game’s first goal on a free kick from 19 yards out in the sixth minute.
