Williams was not short on confidence following the Bayside Commodores’ dominant 30-6 drubbing of the Lehman Lions Saturday afternoon at Jamaica High School. But Williams has good reason to feel pumped up after what transpired on the gridiron over the weekend.

Williams racked up 118 yards on 14 carries, scoring one touchdown and two two-point conversions out of his halfback position. On the defensive side of the ball, the two-way player also picked off an errant Lehman pass and returned 45 yards to set up Bayside’s final score of the day.

“It’s the best game of my career,” Williams said after the win. “I proved today that I’m the best back in the city and my team is number one.”
