The Third Annual Bob Burke Memorial Scholarship Fund Golf Outing was sponsored by the Emerald Society; Queens Private Bus Lines, Eugene Wynne, president.

Congratulations to Lucy Nunziato, who has been elected president of the Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts. She previously served as executive vice president of the Queens Chamber of Commerce from 1993 through 2002.

There will be free flu vaccinations at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, in the Medical Science Building Auditorium, first floor, 4500 Parsons Blvd., Flushing, on Monday, Oct. 28, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. You must call 670-5486 to pre-register. Only 100 vaccinations will be available each day.

Queens Chamber of Commerce’s 20th annual business expo and luncheon was held at Flushing Meadow Corona Park’s Terrace on the Park. The keynote speaker was Charles Gargano, chairman of the Empire State Development Corp. Borough President Helen Marshall also spoke. William Egan, the Chamber’s executive vice president of this 91-year-old organization, was the master of ceremonies.
