Snows Intermediates score win over St. Fidelis to stay perfect

By The TimesLedger

Last Saturday the Our Lady of the Snows Intermediate (Sweeney) Team defeated St. Fidelis, 41-39, to move to 9-0 on the year.

Snows started off slow in this game, as Fidelis scored the game’s first five points, but by the end of the first quarter, OLS had a 9-5 lead. The second quarter was turnover-filled for OLS and they only scored six points and trailed 18-15 at the half. Brian Amorese and David Marrero scored 16 of the 18 OLS points in the third to give OLS a 33-31 edge after the three.

This was a total team effort, as OLS was short two players and had two players ill throughout the game. All the boys showed tremendous determination and hustled the entire game.

Snows goes for their 10th win on Saturday night at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament with a 7:15 p.m. tip off.
