Red Storm boys and girls take home CHSAA Gold

Sean Lowe earned the title of city champion by placing first in the 600-meter dash with 1:22.30 for a new school record. Eric Zorilla placed second in the 1,000-meter race with 2:35.67, also a new school record. Lowe and Zorilla represented St. John’s Prep at the New York state championships and the National Scholastic Championships.

Francisco La Fountaine won the Brooklyn/Queens long jump championship and finished third in the long jump at the CHSAA championships. The 3,200-meter relay team of Zorilla, Chris Brantley, Lowe and Martelly Etienne qualified to compete in the National Scholastic Championships.

The St. John’s Prep sprint medley relay team of Chris Doran, Zorilla, Paul Gordon and Lowe also qualified to compete in the National Scholastic Championships.
