RGMVM Little League gears up for spring 2003 season

RGMVM Little League news

There will be Fast Pitch Softball Clinics for any interested league player. The clinics will be indoors weekly for one hour and start at 4:30 p.m. They will run from January through March. Please call Heather Hofmann at 847-4406 for more information. There will also be boys’ baseball pitching lessons available in January. Interested players should call Pat Piteo at 416-0047.

The league has joined with the Long Ball Club to help promote year-round baseball participation and development for its players. The program is run by former and current Minor/Major League ballplayers and will run over the winter for 15 weeks. This program is run indoors and runs right up to opening day. For further information, please call Pat Piteo at 416-0047, or visit the league Web site at www.rgmvm.com.

Any manager looking to start travel teams should contact their player agent. These travel teams will help develop the ballplayers in the league to compete at the next level of play and will encourage the serious ballplayers in the league to play and practice year-round.

These three new programs show the league’s commitment to helping our players continue to practice and train for the upcoming season. These programs are part of the league’s new “Practice, Train, and Play Ball Year Round” campaign. Don’t be left behind when spring comes!

Final RGMVM league registration will be Jan. 24, 25 and 31, and Feb. 1. The Friday night registration times are 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be no further registrations for the 2003 season. General meetings are the third Tuesday of the month and are held at the clubhouse.
