Flowers by Peter 8, Mass Electric 5. Despite four penalties, Flowers by Peter defeated Mass Electric, 8-5. Joe Tully led the scoring for Flowers by Peter. Kevin Murray led Mass Electric with three goals. And although she gave up eight goals, Emily Becker made some spectacular saves in net for Mass Electric.

Mass Electric 6, Flowers by Peter 2. Despite two goals by J. Voight, Mass Electric was defeated by Flowers by Peter, 6-2. Flowers by Peter’s scoring was led by Kenneth Tomolinson with three goals. Mass Electric is still looking for its first win.

Flowers by Peter 6, Mass Electric 2. Flowers by Peter beat Mass Electric, 6-2. Thomas Bellomo played a great game in goal, making some great saves early in the game that helped wake up the rest of the team. Bellomo’s play throughout was outstanding, but as they say, a goal tender is only as good as his defense. He was assisted by the play of Alexi Malo, who, with his defensive play, added two goals. Matt Malo also played outstanding at defense, and Kennith Tomlinson scored a hat trick. And let’s not forget the goal scored by Joseph Favalora — that makes two goals in two games.

Dwarf Giraffe girls’ softball

Whitestone Pet Center 13, DiBlasi Ford 8. In an exciting game, Whitestone Pet Center beat DiBlasi Ford, 13-8. Whitestone Pets started off the first with a four-run lead when Corinne Lippert hit a home run to drive in three runs. DiBlasi Ford came back in the top of the second inning to even out the score, but in the bottom of the second Whitestone Pets drove in two runs to make the score 6-4.

In the third inning, the Pets added three with a series of base hits from April Lao, Michele McKeown, Katherine Pougiouklidis, and Nicole Naposki. DiBlasi brought one run in during the fourth, but the Whitestone Pets kept on going, bringing in four more runs. Crossing the plate were Corinne Lippert, Samantha Litrenta, Maria Psoras and Monica Ng.

In the fifth inning, DiBlasi added three, with base hits by Christine Golea, Melissa Clavin, Ashley Penny, Taylor Penny and Josephine Cuevas, making the score 13-8. The game was over in a quick top of the sixth inning, when Rei Lem, doing a fine job on the mound, made all three outs. Christina Litrenta did an excellent job at catcher.
