In the decisive third game of the CHSHL ‘B’ championship series, the captain of the Archbishop Molloy hockey team delivered in a big way, scoring a hat trick and adding an assist in an 8-4 win over rival Holy Cross. The victory clinched the Stanners first ever hockey championship.

The senior from Valley Stream, who was named the MVP of the series, scored six goals in the three game series.

Keith Morrice scored a pair of goals for the McClancy hockey team in a 4-2 win over St. Raymond’s, which clinched the Crusaders’ first-ever hockey crown … Dawn Coleman scored 12 points, none bigger than a pair of free throws with five seconds left to lift the Francis Lewis girls’ basketball team to a 45-41 win over Midwood in the PSAL Class A semifinals Saturday at St. John’s University. Jessica Fuller added 13 points and 17 rebounds for the Patriots, who make their third trip to the city championship game in four years … Jessica McEntee scored her 1,000th career point while leading the Archbishop Molloy Stanners with 19 in a CHSAA state semifinal win over St. John the Baptist Friday at Hofstra … Dwayne Johnson led all scorers with 18 points while leading the Cardozo Judges past Sheepshead Bay in the PSAL basketball semifinals at St. John’s University Saturday.
