Nicole Losito faced the mother of all jams, as Molloy loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the first inning. But the junior hurler from Howard Beach fed Christina Del Maestro a steady diet of fastballs, and on the third the Molloy cleanup hitter bounced back to the mound for a 1-2-3 double play.

Losito then struck out Michele Viani to end the inning, and for good measure her bloop single in the bottom of the first inning scored Michelle Walsh for the Hilltoppers’ lone run in a 1-0 win Monday.

Losito scattered four hits in a complete game shutout, striking out six and walking just one.
