The Cardinals came out swinging against a tough Yankee team, scoring five runs in the first inning to help them gain their first victory of the season.

Their big hitters were Darren Minsky, Alex Ligas, Anthony Agnello, Alec Zimmern and Nicholas Pappas, who smashed a triple.

Special mention goes to Teddy Lampropoulas who has greatly improved his swing and hit his first career double.

The Cardinals also played solid defense led by the gloves of David Lohle, Joey Navas and the first baseman and pitcher combination of Max Arm and Darren Minsky, who ended the game with a well-caught fly ball.

Leading the Yankees with a three-hit game was Anthony Zullo, along with clutch hitting by William Taddeo, Josh Samet, Max Sapirman and Michael D’Elia, who also showed hustle on the bases.

Defensive stars of the game were Kalyn Faller, Aaron Geffen and Anthony Zullo with sparkling plays on the mound.

Also playing a great all-around game were Matthew Aprile and Johnathan Rosoff.

DZV Cardinals Flying With Win Over OLBS

The Cardinals played a solid game led by the big bats of David Lohle, Robert Caneiro and Darren Minsky, who had three hits apiece. Matthew Lees, Alex Ligas, Daniel Fishelman and Luke Kaplan also hustled on the bases.

Doing a great job with catching duties behind the plate were Anthony Agnello, Nicholas Pappas, Luke Kaplan, Daniel Fishelman and Noah Portalatin. Darren Minsky, Luke Kaplan, Robert Caneiro and David Lohle were solid on the mound while Alec Zommern also had an outstanding game.

OLBS played a great all-around game with Frank Niccolazzi, Sean San Antonio and Brandon Simone leading the hit parade.

Also swinging the bat well were William O’Neal and Anthony Cardone, while their fielding stars were Sean O’Conner, Richie Mazze, Joseph DePalma and Christopher Cadigan.
