With a 3-2 lead, Mike Rosario faced five batters and retired all of them to secure the win. Matthew Schwartz had the big hit to score what turned out to be the winning run.

In a very similar game Sunday, Jordan Mittenthal again pitched three shutout innings, and Corey Mittenthal, Tyler Portalatin and Mike Rosario all pitched well enough to win. But the Cards lost, 7-3, as MQFM played good defense.

Hitting the ball hard were Wesley DeSimone, Perry Haskowitz and Corey Mittenthal.

Last Saturday, Jordan Mittenthal started the game and pitched two shutout innings, recording five strikeouts. Corey Mittenthal and Rosario pitched solid ball for the next couple of innings, and Tyler Portalatin saved the day when he faced the last batter and struck him out on three pitches with the tying run at the plate.

Matthew Schwartz, Nick Halvatsis, Perry Haskowitz and James Cazzorla had RBIs, while Sean Pullman looked good at the plate to help lift the Cards over MQFM, 8-5.
