Friends have identified the Chinese immigrant construction worker who was killed when a concrete wall collapsed at his job site in Elmhurst two weeks ago, a published report said.

Jian Quo Shen, 44, of Flushing, was the unidentified victim who died in the foundation collapse at 52nd Avenue and 92nd Street on June 7, according to Newsday.

Shen was helping dig a trench when the retaining wall of the property fell, pinning him and two others under six feet of concrete.

The Queens district attorney’s office said no charges had been filed in the case and that an investigation was continuing as of Monday. Councilman John Liu (D-Flushing) reacted to the case last week, saying immigrant workers are often exploited by being sent to work in unsafe conditions.

A Police Department spokesman said the authorities have yet to make a positive identification in the almost two-week-old case.
