It will be an opportunity to enjoy fellowship with other members, receive an update report on short-term and long-term goals and share your suggestions with the board of directors. A historic presentation will be given. The institute will provide barbecue chicken and beverages. The Strut Your Stuff Competition Team just returned from Orlando, Fla., where they competed in the national finals in dance. There were 33 studios represented from Canada, Massachusetts, South Carolina and Michigan. The 7- to 8-year-olds came in first place overall in their division. They had 11 numbers in “The Last Dance” (finals). Their production number “Jungle Book” was also in Last Dance with all 36 students in it.Miss Julie does a wonderful job in original works, choreography and teaching, and she shows how she loves what she does. Preregistration for fall classes will be Monday to Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Aug. 9 through Aug. 12. It will be their 15th season with the best of the best. The art activities will involve using a variety of materials including collage, watercolor, crayons, pastels and markers. Each week a different activity will be conducted. All ages are welcome, admission is free and pre-registration is requested.From Aug. 10 through Aug. 30, there will be a free festival at the Lincoln Center sponsored by Dorothy and Lewis Cullman. The entire family can go for a celebration of the diversity, art and energy that make the city great.
