‘America’s Tenor’ to reunite with Queens Symphony

Daniel Rodriguez, the internationally acclaimed singing sensation also known as “the singing policeman,” will return to perform with the Queens Symphony Orchestra in a special Valentine’s Day concert “Music of the Heart” on Saturd

Rodriguez’s performance with QSO in 2002 in the “Salute to Our Heroes” concert left concertgoers awestruck at his intense and emotional vocal artistry. QSO received many requests from attendees for Rodriguez to once again ppear with the orchestra.

Between the release of his second CD album on Manhattan Records, “From My Heart,” and a demanding global itinerary of performances for presidents, world dignitaries, sporting events, public concerts and TV talk show appearances, Rodriguez has spent the past year training in the Young Artists Program of the Washington Opera at the invitation of opera luminary Placido Domingo, the organization’s artistic director.

QSO’s “Music of the Heart” Valentine’s Day concert will feature Rodriguez performing songs from his newest release and songs with operatic and Latin-infused flavors. This event is the perfect opportunity to spend a romantic evening being serenaded by one of the world’s leading lights in the music business. Concert-goers will have the opportunity to meet Rodriguez, buy his CDs and get his autograph at the concert’s end in the lobby area.

Additionally, the QSO is sponsoring a contest for all ticket holders for this concert. In partnership with the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel in Flushing, an exclusive and ultra-romantic gift package celebrating the return of Rodriguez with the “Music of the Heart” concert includes the following prizes for the winning ticket holder:

• Limousine ride from home to hotel to concert

• Romantic candlelit dinner in the hotel suite

• Hotel night stay in deluxe suite after the concert

• Bottle of champagne

• Chocolate dipped strawberries

• One dozen long-stem red roses

• Special seating at concert

• Breakfast for two

The ticket winner will be notified by the QSO in advance of the concert.

This concert is the third Masterworks Concert Series of QSO’s 51st season.
