Elfant scored the lone goal for the Stanners with 19 seconds left in the third period Friday night at Abe Stark Rink on Coney Island. Jon Formichelli, Steven Markowicz and Frank Arcuri scored third period goals for Farrell (6-3). Holy Cross 10, Monsignor Farrell 1. Nick Rappold had 3 goals and 3 assists, Daniel Pastor scored 2 goals and added 3 assists, Joe May and John Quinn scored 2 goals apiece and John Kirakos added a goal for the Holy Cross junior varsity hockey team in a 10-1 win over Monsignor Farrell Sunday. On Saturday, the Knights edged Iona Prep, 3-2 as May scored twice and Quinn added a goal. On Jan. 4, Holy Cross dropped a 6-4 decision to Xaverian.
