Fourteen-year-old Ali Hussein Abid Ali arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport this weekend from Iraq in preparation for a life-saving open heart surgery Wednesday at Montefiore Medical Center, and was welcomed with open arms by Rotary International and its Gift of Life program.
The Iraqi boy, who made the trip with his father, was also showered with hugs and kisses by three other Iraqi children, who had open heart surgery last month through the Rotary District 7230 Gift of Life
