Joseph Gentile, of 21-60 46th St. in Astoria, was convicted of taking a livery cab to the home of his ex-girlfriend in the Bronx, displaying a .45 caliber pistol and forcibly dragging her into the livery cab, where a friend waited with a shotgun, the DA said.
Gentile took the victim back to his Astoria residence, where he raped her and burned her with a cigarette, Brown said.
Peter DiPiano, 24, of Astoria, was also arrested in the incident and pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon in April, the DA said. DiPiano was sentenced in June to serve one year in jail, the DA said.
