A convicted cold-blooded killer could be setting his sights on Throggs Neck, but one resident is doing everything in her power, including asking for help from the community, to keep the man who killed her sister behind bars, where she says he belongs.
It was on July 2, 1992, when Michael Hopps murdered his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Carol Ann Provino, but after serving the minimum of his 15-years-to-life sentence, the Gowanda Correctional Facility inmate is now up for parole.
