As a surge of grocery store robberies swept through the borough in January, the NYPD and the Bodega Association have teamed up with local leaders to combat the problem head on.
Association president Jose Fernandez, Councilman Jimmy Vacca and community members gathered at the recently robbed Holland Deli Super Market at 2460 Holland Avenue on Wednesday, January 24, to discuss a new effort to halt the spree.
