There are many wonderful sounds you can associate with the fall and winter, but none are more pleasant than the sounds of kids, parents and coaches alike enjoying the game of soccer at the Balcom Avenue field in Throggs Neck.

Every weekend during the warmer months, close to 800 children playing on 60 teams take part in one of the largest youth sports programs in the Bronx, a program that has built some of the strongest soccer players in New York
