St. Sebastion boys’ swimming on 30-match win streak

By

After finishing undefeated in Queens, St. Sebastian met Brooklyn's undefeated champions Good Shepard Friday night. Each of the meetings in the past three years have been nail bitters, with St. Sebastian coming away with a one point win.

On Sunday, the Dolphins competed in the Diocesan championship. The Novice squad started off with a strong lead, Bantams kept up the pressure and kept the lead, Juniors were really challenged in the individual events, but the relays stepped up to balance that out still leaving them with an 18-point lead finishing that division; then the Seniors got busy and took the team home for a commanding win.

Congratulations to the Dolphins and their coaching staff of Shawn Slevin, Dawn Hughes and Susan Hourigan who yet again proved how hard work, consistently coming to practice, putting the extra effort in to improve technique and speed has certainly paid off in a powerful way.

The girls team, the Dolphinettes, are looking forward to beginning their competitive season next week.
